Back when I was still noobish, I stutter when I speak to girls. I was shy and asking a girl out was no easy feat! It’s a do or die situation, if you screw up, you almost never get into her good books and just stay as ‘friends’. If you succeed, you have to play your part well on the date itself. But every man has to take up the challenge and ask a girl out on a date!

So how do you get her to say YES to a date? Here’s something that I did and it always scored me a date!

If you see the girl you like, approach her and always say “Hi”, “Hello” and have a good look of what she is wearing and small things like that which you can compliment. It can just be as simple as complimenting her hair! (If you are in a bar/club and the girl ignores you, just move on to another target, don’t waste your time!)

You should be humorous. Girls love humour. I learned a few good jokes and make sure you practice beforehand. Don’t use pickup lines, they are so outdated. Flirting with jokes is a good ice breaker and I do this to gauge her interest level.

When talking to the girl, make sure you maintain eye contact, don’t look away until she does, I find it hard to do at first, but you have to do it!! There are two things that might happen if you look at her this way, she might look away immediately or look into your eyes the same way as you do (congrats, she is definitely interested). If she did look away immediately, she might still be interested in you but shy and nervous on her end.

Try to talk to her more, ask her about herself, don’t talk about yourself and instead focus the conversation about her. You will definitely find things to talk if you think this way! If you see her taking a quick glance and she stares at you, she is definitely interested and you can go in for the killer move.

Ask her out. How? Quite simple. Be straightforward! “Do you want to XXXXX with me next week?” or even better “Hey, I’ve got a friend’s barbecue next week, do you want to tag along?”. For starters, I find the second one works way better. Going out as a group or meeting your own group of friends work really well and you can follow up later on.
